With great thanks to a grant received from the General Fund of The Troy Foundation, Troy Main Street is able to provide flowers to local businesses in downtown Troy. These colorful flowers sit outside participating businesses to beautify the area each summer.
Troy Main Street would also like to thank Renee' Lavy of Garden Stone Greenhouse for providing the downtown flowers.
Renee' was born and raised on a farm west of Troy and loved everything about it. She graduated from Newton High School and from there married her high school sweetheart, Lynn Lavy. Renee' and Lynn have farmed all 32 years of their marriage. They have two boys, Blake and Brandon, who are married to their wonderful daughters-in-law, Kacie and Amanda, and have two awesome grandkids, Mackenzie and Carson.
Renee' started her first growing season in 1997 with annuals and vegetables. Since then, she has added perennials, shrubs and small trees, tropical plants, and more! In 2012, she started growing for the City of Troy and for Troy Main Street. Renee' loves being a part of making Troy even more beautiful!
