Retail & Restaurant Days
Cabin Fever Called. Downtown Troy Hung Up.
Retail & Restaurant Days Return January 29–February 7
Winter in Ohio can feel long, gray, and a little too couch-centric. That’s exactly why Retail & Restaurant Days are back in Downtown Troy from January 29 through February 7, inviting everyone to put on real pants, leave the house, and reconnect with the places and people that make this community feel alive.
Presented by Troy Main Street, Retail & Restaurant Days celebrate Troy’s locally owned shops, restaurants, and gathering spots with limited-time specials designed to make getting out worth it, even when it’s cold.
“This time of year is when our third places matter most,” said Amy Breinich, Executive Director of Troy Main Street. “Not home, not work but the places where you run into neighbors, chat with shop owners, and feel connected. Retail & Restaurant Days give people a reason to get out, meet up, and remember that downtown is still buzzing, even in winter.”

St. Patrick's Day Pub Crawl
Break out your greenest shirt, your worst Irish accent, and your tolerance for questionable decisions! It’s time for the Downtown Troy St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl. This is not a sprint. This is a professionally unprofessional stroll through downtown’s finest watering holes, where the beer is flowing, the music is loud, and everyone is suddenly 12% Irish.
Grab your crawl card, bounce between participating bars, collect stamps, sip responsibly(ish), and pretend tomorrow-you won’t be slightly mad at today-you. Expect drink specials, good vibes, and a whole lot of “I swear I know you from somewhere.”
Come for the green beer. Stay because downtown Troy is walkable, welcoming, and significantly better than standing in your kitchen drinking alone. Sláinte… and may your designated driver know exactly where you live.
Downtown Troy Trivia & Spark Awards Night
You know our Trivia Night. You love our Trivia Night. You’ve argued loudly about answers at our Trivia Night.
Now… we’ve made it fancier (but still chaotic in the best way).
Join us for our traditional, slightly competitive, wildly opinionated Trivia Night, now paired with the annual Spark Awards; where we celebrate the downtown businesses, people, and organizations that keep Troy thriving… and give you something to clap loudly for between trivia questions.
Expect brainy banter, friendly rivalries, drinks in hand, and awards that actually mean something:
Sips of Success Award – For the place that keeps us caffeinated, cocktail’d, or boba’d enough to function.
Best Bite of Downtown Award – For the restaurant that has you saying “we should go there again” immediately after leaving.
Downtown Retail Royalty Award – Because retail therapy is real and downtown does it best.
Local Legend Award – For the business that sets the standard and shows up for the community every single time.
Main Street Maverick – For the bold entrepreneur who zigged when everyone else zagged.
Main Street MVP – For the volunteer who quietly (or loudly) makes everything happen.
Catalyst for Good Award – For the nonprofit making real impact and real change downtown.
A Cut Above Award – For the service providers who make us look better, work smarter, and survive adulthood.
Come for the trivia. Stay for the applause, the bragging rights, and the reminder that Downtown Troy is powered by smart people, big ideas, and a whole lot of heart.
Bring a team. Bring opinions. Bring your A-game.
Taste of Troy
Last year was our first year and we sold out… we’re back with more tickets, but don’t wait to buy when they go on sale! Once they’re gone, they’re’ GONE!
This is not a diet event. This is not a “just a bite” situation. This is Taste of Troy: our annual excuse to wander downtown, eat everything, and call it cultural enrichment.
Sample your way through Downtown Troy’s best restaurants, cafés, and drink spots as they serve up signature bites, crowd favorites, and “we only make this for Taste of Troy” flexes. You’ll walk, you’ll eat, and you’ll absolutely regret skipping lunch beforehand.
No reservations. No awkward waiting. Just good food, good drinks, good people, and the undeniable proof that downtown Troy punches way above its weight in the flavor department.
Come hungry. Wear forgiving pants. Support local.
Taste of Troy: because the only thing better than loving downtown is eating your way through it.

Fridays on Prouty Concert Series
Cue the lawn chairs, text your friends, and cancel whatever “meh” plans you had. Fridays on Prouty is Downtown Troy’s favorite weekly excuse to clock out early and vibe responsibly.
Presented by Troy Main Street and the Troy Hayner Cultural Center, this summer concert series takes over Prouty Plaza with live music that ranges from “oh I know this one” to “wait… why is this so good?” Add a laid-back crowd, a gorgeous downtown backdrop, and the kind of energy that makes you forget what day of the week it is (hint: it’s Friday and that’s the best one).
Huge shoutout to the Troy Foundation and the Impact Award for sponsoring the good times because live music, community hangs, and peak summer vibes don’t just magically appear (though it kind of feels like they do).
Bring your friends. Bring a chair. Bring that drink you’ve been thinking about since Tuesday.
Fridays on Prouty: proof that Downtown Troy knows how to start the weekend right.
Miami Valley Veterans Museum 4th of July Parade
The parade starts at 9am and will travel from the front of Troy High School, around the downtown square, and then west on Main Street toward the Library.
Donut Jam
Before the miles. Before the sweat. Before the very questionable life choice of riding a bike for donuts… there’s Donut Jam. 🍩🎸
This is the pre-game to Tour de Donut- aka the part where everyone is still clean, fully caffeinated, and making excellent decisions. Think live music that gets you hyped, activities to keep the vibes high, and rider check-in so you can officially say, “Yes, I am doing this.”
Donut Jam is where cyclists, spectators, and donut-enthusiasts unite to stretch, dance, laugh, and mentally prepare for carbs on carbs on carbs. Whether you’re riding, cheering, or just here for the energy (and the donuts), this is the warm-up you don’t want to skip.
Come for the concert. Stay for the chaos.
Donut Jam: because every legendary bike ride deserves a proper party before the first bite.
Tour de Donut
The Tour de Donut is a unique bicycle event, where your ability to eat donuts is just as important as your ability to ride your bicycle fast. The event is a mass start timed bicycle "ride" where riders visit donut stops. For each donut the rider eats during the ride (and keeps down) they have 5 minutes deducted from their ride time. The ride is just like any other bike tour, except we have donuts. 1000 dozen. Donut stops are also stocked with bananas, local in season apples, other local fruit, yogurt, water, electrolyte drink and milk.
Downtown Troy Golf Par-TEE!
Welcome to the Troy Main Street Golf Par-TEE — where your favorite Main Street businesses become your golf course! This isn’t your grandpa’s golf tournament (although grandpa’s welcome too). You and your crew will grab your wackiest golf attire, don your best Caddyshack references, and embark on a putt-putt parade through Downtown Troy. Your mission? Navigate a whimsical mini-golf course that winds through storefronts, cafés, and local hotspots, all while soaking up the DORA vibes and maybe plotting for that elusive hole-in-one!
Teams of up to four will tee off from a downtown starting point, tackling creatively designed holes hosted by local businesses: each one a chance to laugh, sip, and discover a new favorite spot around town. With prizes on the line, costumes encouraged, and community cheer guaranteed, this event turns a stroll down Main Street into a par-tee paradeyou won’t soon forget!
Whether you’re there for the friendly competition, the photo ops, the networking or the delicious DORA drinks, Golf Par-TEE is where community spirit meets playful putt-putt perfection!
Downtown Troy Chocolate Walk
Chocolate lovers, this one’s for you. 🍫
Downtown Troy’s Chocolate Walk, powered by Winans, is basically your permission slip to wander downtown, pop into your favorite local shops, and be rewarded with chocolate at every turn. Yes. Actual chocolate. The good kind. The kind that makes you “accidentally” stop at one more location.
Stroll business to business, sample decadent treats, discover hidden gems, and pretend you’re being cultured when really you’re just chasing your next cocoa fix. It’s shopping. It’s snacking. It’s a sweet little workout for your legs and your willpower.
Bring friends, wear stretchy pants, and prepare to fall a little more in love with Downtown Troy. One chocolate stop at a time.
Ghost Tours of Troy
Two nights. One historic downtown. Way more spirits than our pub crawls.
For two spine-tingling nights, Downtown Troy trades cozy vibes for whispered legends and stories that refuse to stay buried. Join us as we wander the streets of Troy, uncovering tales of restless souls, unexplained happenings, and the kind of local lore that makes you side-eye every shadow.
You’ll hear the stories they don’t put on the plaques, stand where history lingered a little too long, and learn why Troy’s past still has a presence. Is it haunted? We’re not saying yes. We’re also not saying no.
Come for the history. Stay for the chills. Leave questioning that noise you heard behind you.
Two nights only
Walking tours through historic Downtown Troy
Skeptic-friendly. Ghost-believer approved.
Join us if you dare. Or at least pretend you’re not scared.
Hometown Halloween
Downtown Troy’s Hometown Halloween is back and it’s bringing all the classic small-town Halloween vibes you love. Grab your kids, your friends, and your best costumes and head downtown for an afternoon of festive fun.
Enjoy downtown trick or treat with participating businesses, because nothing beats collecting candy while supporting local shops. Costumes are highly encouraged for all ages and yes, adults absolutely count.
Show off your creativity in the Hometown Halloween Costume Contest, proudly sponsored by the Troy Noon Optimist Club and the Miami County Commissioners. Whether your costume is spooky, clever, adorable, or delightfully thrown together, there’s a place for you to shine.
Add in family-friendly activities, games, and plenty of Halloween fun, and you’ve got the perfect way to celebrate the season in the heart of Troy. Come for the candy, stay for the community, and make it a Halloween to remember.

Scare on the Square Pub Crawl
Downtown Troy’s Scare on the Square Pub Crawl is your excuse to get dressed up, grab a drink, and haunt your favorite downtown spots. Costumes are highly encouraged, the more creative (or ridiculous), the better.
Pick up your stamp card and crawl your way through participating DORA locations, stopping in to purchase a drink of your choice. Beer, cocktail, or mocktail, there’s something for every ghoul, goblin, and designated driver.
Collect your stamps as you go, then turn in your completed card at the Troy Main Street office for your chance at prizes and bragging rights. It’s spooky fun, downtown vibes, and a perfectly acceptable reason to wear a costume while sipping your way around the square.
Come thirsty. Come festive. Come ready to scare up some fun in Downtown Troy.
Hometown Holiday
The holiday magic is returning to Downtown Troy with Hometown Holiday, a festive shopping event designed to kick off the holiday season and showcase the incredible variety of local businesses that make downtown shine.
Hometown Holiday invites residents and visitors alike to experience the charm of Troy’s historic downtown as local shops roll out special deals, seasonal merchandise, and plenty of holiday cheer. This beloved annual tradition brings the community together to celebrate the start of the shopping season in a charming small town, complete with twinkling lights, friendly faces, and one-of-a-kind finds.
One of the highlights of this year’s event is the Red Envelope Program, an exciting shopping promotion that rewards customers for supporting local retailers. Here’s how it works:
During the event, participating businesses will give customers who spend a qualifying amount a sealed red envelope containing a mystery prize, discount, or giveaway. Shoppers are encouraged to return during a designated redemption period to make another purchase and open their red envelope at checkout to reveal their surprise! This is determined by each individual store.
Prizes and discounts are also determined by each individual store, making every envelope a unique and exciting reason to come back downtown for more holiday shopping.
Grand Illumination
As twilight settles over the charming streets of downtown Troy, a hush of anticipation fills the air. Families gather, bundled in scarves and mittens, clutching hot cocoa and sharing smiles as the first snowflakes begin to drift gently from the winter sky. The Grand Illumination is more than just a tree lighting, it's a moment of pure holiday enchantment that transforms Troy into a glowing wonderland.
At the heart of the square, a towering Christmas tree stands proudly, adorned with twinkling lights and ornaments that shimmer like stars. Storefronts gleam with festive displays, each window a tiny stage telling its own story of warmth and cheer. Christmas songs echo through the crisp air like magic, wrapping the community in nostalgia and joy.
Horse-drawn carriages clip-clop through the streets, while Santa Claus himself greets little ones with twinkling eyes and hearty laughter. Local shops offer sweet treats, unique gifts, and handmade crafts, and everywhere, there is laughter, love, and the unmistakable feeling that you’re part of something timeless.
Then… like a spell cast over the crowd the countdown begins. Children’s eyes widen, and the tree bursts into brilliance, igniting the entire square in a dazzling display of light. Gasps of delight and applause ripple outward as Downtown Troy glows, garlands sparkle, and every twinkling light becomes a beacon of the season.
The Grand Illumination is more than an event, it’s a memory in the making, a reminder that magic lives in togetherness, and a shining symbol of the spirit that lights up Troy all year long.

Back by popular demand, The Noah Wotherspoon Band will perform for Troy, Ohio on August 1, 2025 at 7:30 pm. The Noah Wotherspoon Band will include Noah Wotherspoon, guitar; Tom Rastikis, bass; Brian Aylor, drums; Da’Rosa Richardson, keyboards; Danny Manning, alto sax; Eric Wurzelbacher, tenor sax and Charlie Ferrara on trumpet.
Noah Wotherspoon is an exceptional guitarist who revealed talents by the age of 11. As a young teenager he had his own band called Noah and the Stratocats, who won a spot on the prestigious Chicago Blues Fest stage when he was just 16. The Stratocats played the Chicago Blues Fest for the next eight years. In 2015 Noah received the Albert King award for Best Guitarist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. Wotherspoon started as a kid from Dayton, Ohio who had an affinity for the guitar, but he soon found himself touring America and performing at the world’s Blues Festivals. He has toured Eastern Europe many times and was the headliner at the Reykjavik Blues Festival in Iceland and the Salva Jazz & Blues Festival in Salvatierry, Mexico.
Wotherspoon has followed and experimented with a variety of genres in his 20+ year career. It is blues rock that has ultimately captivated him.
“Every note Wotherspoon plays demonstrates his command of the blues musical style. His guitar solos are dripping with unadulterated emotion, capturing listeners, and transporting them to the heart of the blues. Wotherspoon's love for the genre is evident in every performance, whether he is singing gritted, fervent lyrics or creating beautiful guitar melodies,” says Viberate Music.
