Fridays on Prouty will be hosting a great big happy salsa band called Dayton Salsa Project on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 7:30 pm. This band has trumpet, trombone, 2 saxophones, timbales, bongos, congas and keys. The Dayton Salsa Project sees their mission as using music to help break down barriers and “…to promote inclusion by showcasing how musicians from diverse traditions and cultural backgrounds can come together in one accord,” says Daryll Rosa, the band’s lead vocalist. “We are Dayton's community salsa band, we represent Hispanic heritage which we want to share with everyone... We are here to share the music and dancing …and the rich history of salsa… Concerts are free to the public thanks to a generous grant from the Troy Foundation and the citizens of Troy.
